Film Preparation

The proof of the pudding may be in the eating, but what every good cook knows is that the real secret lies in thorough planning and preparation. The cameras you see on your wedding day tell only half the story. What really matters is what goes on behind the scenes, both in ensuring we are ready to cover your event, and in the days spent afterwards creating your DVD in the studio. On average, we’ll spend five to ten days editing the ten hours or more of video to produce the 1 or 2-volume set.

Here's how we work

  • First, call or email us and then we’ll chat over the phone to discuss your requirements and budget.
  • We'll then meet either in your home or at the Weddingography studios, and we'll get to know you and understand what you would like to see in your wedding film. We basically want to blend in and be part of your wedding celebrations.
  • If you agree to engage us, then we'll come and look at the venue(s) to plan how we will film on the day and talk to people at these locations to understand their requirements in terms of positioning cameras, storage of equipment and general "housekeeping".
  • On the day, we will arrive well before things start to happen to ensure that we cover everything you’ve asked for. We will stay as long as you need us: we can leave after the ceremony, the first dance or after the fireworks go off - it’s up to you. (Please note that coverage over 8 hours is chargeable over the standard package prices.)
  • Finally, we will spend several days in the studio, selecting the right clips, mixing the sound, adding photos supplied by you or your photographer (if required) , or other film sequences, to create the finished product.
  • The DVD is fully interactive with a menu enabling you to play everything or just one of the chapters.
  • The DVD(s) are presented to you in a specially imported leather-look binder with a photo insert.
